Saint Clarus of Vallis Regia Life History
However there is a completely different story about him which says he was born once in the 300s in Gaul, now France, and that he became a bishop there. From there, he escaped in the early 400s, probably in 407, during the vandalism invasions along with the holy bishop Ursicinus.
St Clarus settled in Voirè (now Valleregia in the municipality of Serra Riccò), where his body is preserved.
