St David Uribe-Velasco was a Catholic Priest born on December 29 1888 at Buenavista de Cuellar, Guerrero, Mexico. He was shot dead and died as a martyr on April 12 1927 near San Jose Videl, Morelia, Mexico during the Cristeros rebellion in Mexico. He is one of the martyrs of the Cristero War. We celebrate his feast day on May 21 every year in the Catholic Church

Saint’s Biography
Saint David Uribe-Velasco was born in Diocese of Chilapa on December 29, 1889. He was the son of Juan Uribe Ayal and Victoriana Velasco Gutierrez.
In 1903 at age 14, he entered the seminary at Chilapa. David Uribe was a deacon in 1911 and was ordained on March 2, 1913.
Death
He was shot in the back of the head on April 12 1927 near San Jose Videl, Morelia, Mexico.
