St. Demetrian of Cyprus Biography
St. Demetrian of Cyprus was a married man who was later widowed. He then became a monk at St. Anthony.s monastery on Cyprus. He became a priest. Later, he became an abbot of St. Antony for 40 years before becoming a reluctant bishop of Khytri, Cyprus for 25 years. During the raids of Saracens, the kidnapped Local Christians but Demetrian obtained their release.
