St. Dorothy of Caesarea Biography
St. Dorothy of Caesarea was a martyr whose story has been well narrated and known to many. She had made a personal vow to virginity and refused to marry a decision which made her tortured, tried and sentenced to death for her faith.
Before she was persecuted, she sent Theophilus a six-year boy who is believed to have been an angel her headdress which had the fragrance of roses and fruits. Seeing the gift and the messenger, he converted and was martyred himself.
