Saint’s Biography
St Epimachus was a martyr of Alexandria, Egypt, in 250 AD. His relics were brought to Rome and his body was laid in a crypt on the Via Latina. Later on, the body of Saint Gordianus who was martyred during the time of Julian the Apostate was brought and laid beside his. The two saints gave their names to the cemetery, and are jointly venerated by the Catholic Church.
