St. Ethelwald of Lindisfarne Biography
St. Ethelwald of Lindisfarne was a leather worker and a bookbinder who turned into a monk. He was the assistant to Saint Cuthbert of Lindisfarne. He later became the abbot of old Melrose monastery, Scotland. In 721 AD, he was promoted to be a bishop at Lindisfarne.
