Saint Ezekiel the Prophet Biography
Ezekiel the Prophet, the Prophet, the son of Buzi, was around 598 BC. Banished to Babylon. He began to prophesy five years later and continued for over twenty years. His prophecies are one of the books of the Old Testament and are given in forty-eight chapters. After a vision of the glory of the Lord, he foreshadows, under various symbols, the fall of Jerusalem, its transgression, and the sign of those who are to be saved. He pronounces the destruction that will befall pagan nations and prophesies the restoration of the theocracy. God wants to repent, triumph over Gog and Magog, and build a new kingdom that calls the city "The Lord is here" (Ezekiel 48). He is often quoted by John in the Apocalypse; In fact, there are many similarities between the writings of the Prophet and the apostle. He was buried in the tomb of Sem and Arphaxad, the ancestors of Abraham. Many people used to go to his grave to pray. Passages from the prophecy are read in worship during the first weeks of November.
