St. Finian Munnu Biography
St. Finian Munnu was a Priest and profound understudy of Saint Columba and Saint Seenell at Cluain Inis, Ireland for a long time. He moved to Iona Abbey in Scotland. However, discovered Saint Columba had left a prescience that Finian was to be dismissed as he was bound to establish another house.
Established Taghmon (Tech Munnu) religious community, County Wexford, Ireland, and filled in as its first abbot. Gone to the Magh Lene Synod in 630 where he shielded Celtic ritualistic practices against the Latin. In his later years, he was distressed with a horrible skin infection, perhaps a type of disease, and was known for the patient, uncomplaining way he bore it. There are a few holy places in Scotland that have his name, conceivably as a result of the proselytizing work by the priests his home who had a favourable opinion of him.
