Biography
Saint Fragan, a fifth-century Pre-Congregational Saint and Prince of Scotland. He is praised on 3 October in the Calendar of the Breton Saints, and offers with Gwen a Feast day on July 5 in the Roman Calendar.
Fragan originated from Great Britain, and was a Prince of Albany in Scotland. In the fifth century he left Scotland to proselytize Armorica.
He left Britain and moved to Ploufragan (Côtes-d’Armor) towards the finish of the fourth century or maybe as late as 418 AD. There he settled in the Sang River valley. He was the organizer of the stronghold of Lesguen, in the present collective of Plouguin.
