Saint George of Cordoba, a monk from Palestine. Deacon. During the persecution of the caliph Abderrahman II. Arrested and sentenced to death. As a foreigner, he was offered a pardon, but he refused to stand up for his belief, to serve his fellow prisoners and as a martyr.
