Born in the early fifth century in Brittany. He went to Ireland in order to study with Saint Patrick. Who might have been his uncle. St. Germanus also stayed in St. Illtud’s abbey which is in southern Wales. After which he went back to Ireland to be ordained by Patrick. Afterward sent to the Isle of Man as bishop. He is believed to have died in Normandy sometime in the late fifth century.
