Saint Godfried van Melveren, Painter. Franciscan brother minor. A priest. Custos of the Franciscan house in Gorkum, Netherlands. Martyred by Calvinists for “papism” and their confidence in the Real Presence in the Eucharist. One of the Martyrs of Gorkum. Nineteen saints murdered by Calvinists for steadfastness to the Pope and for their faith in the Real Presence in the Eucharist.
