St Hospitius of Cap-Saint-Hospice, also known as Ospicio, or Sospis, was a 6th-century hermit at a place now named Cap-Saint-Hospice in France in his honour. He predicted his own death. On, May 21 581 AD, the day he was to die, he removed the heavy iron chains he wore on his body and died. We celebrate his feast day on May 21 every year in the Catholic Church.
