St. Ina of Wessex Biography
St. Ina of Wessex was the King of Wessex from 688 AD to 726 AD. He was known to be a great warrior, justice and a lawgiver who restored Glastonbury Abbey. He was married to Saint Ethelburga of Wessex who helped her in the shift to spiritual concerns.
In 726 Ad, he gave away his throne and moved with his wife to Rome where he spent the rest of his days as a penitential monk.
