Biography
Saint Jacobus Lacops, Norbertine priest at Middelburg, Belgium. In 1566 he apostatized, composing and lecturing against the Church. He later apologized, rejoined his request, and resigned to his monastery to do retribution. One of the Gorkum Martyrs. One of nineteen saints slaughtered by Calvinists for loyalty to the Pope and for their faith in the Real Presence in the Eucharist.
