Saint Majolus of Cluny was born in 906 AD in Avignon, France. He became a monk at Cluny Abbey in France. To avoid becoming a bishop, Majolus entered the Benedictine abbey of Cluny and became an abbot in 965. He died in 994 of natural causes.
