Saint Theogenes of Hippo
St Theogenes of Hippo was also known as Theogenes of Bona or Teógene of Hippo. He was a third-century bishop of Hippo in North Africa.
He attended the Council of Carthage called by St Cyprian in 250 AD. He was martyred with 36 of his flock in the persecutions of Emperor Valerian. He died in 258 AD and St Augustine of Hippo wrote about him.
Saint Conan of Iona
St Conan of Iona, also known as Mochonna of Iona, was born in Ireland in 648 AD on the Isle of Man of natural causes.
He was a monk at Iona, a tutor to the sons of King Eugene IV of Scotland and also a spiritual teacher of St Fiacre.
He was a missionary to the Isle of Man and a bishop of the Southern Hebrides and the Isle of Man.
Saint Ansurius of Orense
St Ansurius of Orense was also known as Aduri, Adurius or Isauri. He was a Benedictine monk, a bishop of Orense, Galacia, Spain in 915 AD and a founder of the abbey of Ribas de Sil.
In 922 AD he retired from his see and spent his remaining years in prayer as a monk at Ribas de Sil. He died of natural causes in 925 AD.
Blessed Claudio of San Romano
Blessed Claudio of San Romano was among the Mercedarian friars. He was sent to Morocco in 1320, and he ransomed many Christians held in slavery by Muslims.
Saint Tortgith of Barking
St Tortgith of Barking was also known as Theoregitha, Thordgith or Thorgyth. She was a Benedictine nun at the abbey of Barking, England.
She was also a novice mistress during the time when St Ethelburga was her abbess. She died in 700 AD.
Saint Theofrid of Corbie
St Theofrid of Corbie was also known as Theofroy of Corbie. He was a Benedictine monk at Luxeuil Abbey, an abbot of Corbie Abbey and also a bishop. He died of natural causes in 690 AD.
Saint Alphonsus of Astorga
St Alphonsus of Astorga was a ninth-century bishop of Astorga, Spain. He eventually retired to live as a monk at the monastery of Saint Stephen de Ribas de Sil, Galicia, Spain.
Saint Athanasius of Sorrento
St Athanasius of Sorrento was a bishop of Sorrento, Italy and a patron of Sorrento, Italy.
