Saint’s Biography
Saint Potitus was born in Sardica in Bulgaria. He converted to Christianity and became a martyr during the reign of Antoninus Pius. His hagiography says that he came from a very rich pagan family and was a miracle worker. He refused to give up Christianity and was thrown to the lions; They did not attack, so instead he was thrown into boiling oil, but he remained unharmed. He was beheaded with a sword in the diocese of Naples, Italy.
