Blessed Wladyslaw Goral
Blessed Wladyslaw Goral was also known as Ladislao Goral. He was the Auxiliary bishop of Lublin born on May 1 1898 in Stoczek, Lubelskie, Poland. He was ordained as a priest on December 18 1920.
He was appointed the titular bishop of Meloë in Isauria on August 10 1938. He was a man known for his devotion to the Church and for his ascetic life in a modern setting.
During the Nazi invasion in World War II, he was arrested by the Gestapo in November 1939 and sentenced to death for being a priest; the Vatican intervened and the sentence was commuted to life imprisonment.
Father Wladyslaw was sent to the Sachsenhausen-Oranienburg concentration camp in Oberhavel, Germany and kept in an isolated bunker, away from other prisoners, neglected and abused for years until he died in April 1945 as a martyr shortly before the camp was liberated.
He was beatified on June 13 1999 by Pope John Paul II.
Blessed Alda of Siena
Blessed Alda of Siena, who was also referred to as Aldobrandesca, Aude, Blanca, or Bruna, was born in 1249 in Siena, Italy.
She was married and later widowed, after which she became a laywoman. She belonged to the Holy Humility of Mary and focused on personal penance, and charity towards the poor, and received visions.
She was known for her religious ecstasies and highly respected in her hometown of Siena. She died in 1309.
Saint Basileus of Amasea
St. Basileus of Amasea, who was also called Basil or Basilius, served as the bishop of Amasea in Pontus. He was killed in 319 AD during the Licinius persecutions by being thrown into the sea to drown.
However, one of his followers was led by an angel to retrieve his body and provide it with a Christian burial.
Saint Exuerantia of Troyes
St. Exuerantia of Troyes, also known as Esperance, Exuperance or Exuperantia, was a nun whose remains are honoured in Troyes, France. She died of natural causes in 380 AD.
Saint Antoninus of Rome
St. Antoninus of Rome, who was also a Pope, was martyred during the time when Diocletian was persecuting Christians. His martyrdom is recorded in the Acts of St. Marcellinus. He was beheaded and died for his faith.

St. Cyrinus of Rome, who was also a Pope, was martyred during the time of Diocletian’s persecutions. He is recorded in the Acts of St. Marcellinus and was beheaded for his faith, thus dying as a martyr.
