Saint Severino Gallo was originally from France where he was also a very famous doctor of the University of Paris and in the Mercedarian Order.
Being in Algiers, Africa for redemption, he was captured by a Muslim prince who seeing him very faithful to Christ had him condemned to death. Torn with very refined tortures, he was then nailed to a pole, reaching the choir of martyrs in the year 1419.
