St. Soteris the Martyr Biography
St. Soteris the Martyr was a wealthy third-century noble family member. She was a young woman who consecrated herself to God. She dressed decently unlike other women in her time.
Soteris was arrested and tortured in her youth during the Decius persecutions. She was then released and returned to her prayerful life only to be murdered in the persecutions of Diocletian for refusing to sacrifice for pagan gods. Records have it that no matter the torture she never cried out.
