St Theophilus of Corte, also known as Biagio Arrighi or Teofilo, was a Roman Catholic priest born on October 30 1676 in Corte, Corsica, France and died on June 17 1740 at the age of 63. We celebrate his feast day on May 19 every year in the Catholic Church.

Saint’s Biography
Saint Theophilus of Corte was born in France as Biagio Arrighi. He joined the Franciscans in 1693 and adopted the name Theophilus (friend of God). He became a priest in Naples, Italy. Theophilus taught in Civitella, Italy, and evangelist throughout Corsica and Italy. He campaigned for reforms and renewed zeal within the Franciscans. He died in 1740 of natural causes.
