Parish Short History

On March 1953, Archbishop Thomas J. Toolen announced plans for new parish and by June 1, 1953, a new parish was officially established.

St. Francis Xavier chosen as the church’s patron saint, Rev. Frederick O. Hughes appointed pastor. Leading to the purchase of a 50-acre tract of land on June 25, 1953.

On June 1954, construction of the all-purpose building (church and pastor’s housing and four classrooms) got completed.
On  July 3, 1954, the first Mass was held in the new church, finally leading to the dedication of the church by Archbishop Toolen on April 24, 1955.
