Today’s Bible Verse of the Day Reflections

Jesus explains the parable of the sower to us in detail. He wants us to become rich soil where the seed, which is the Word of God, is sown and produces much more yield than the Heavenly Father wants.

The rich soil is the heart that knows God, loves Him, serves Him, and praises Him. It is a heart that does not harbour hate or jealousy.

It is a heart that does not entertain idolatry or worship of worldly treasures. It is a heart that loves neighbours and serves the least of our brothers without expecting anything in return.

When we have a heart as described above, we can easily be able to understand The Word of God and put it into practice.

This is to say, if you know God then you will know that He is the one who created you. If you know that He created you, then you will know why He did that.

You will know that He created you so that you can serve Him, and the service He demands from you is that you serve others with the talents He has given you.

When you use your talents to serve others, God will be praised and glorified in your actions. By doing this you will be producing good yield for God in Hundred, sixty or thirty-fold.

Prayer: Dear God, strengthen our hearts to become the rich soil that hears Your Word, understands it, puts it into practice and action, and finally bears for You abundant yield in hundred, sixty, or thirty-folds according to Your Holy Will. Jesus, I love you. Amen.
