Today’s Teaching That Jesus is the Son of God and Equal to God

The Bible reading John 5:17-30 contains several salient teachings of Jesus, which can be summarized as follows:

Jesus is Equal to God: Jesus claims that just as God the Father works, so too does he work. This statement indicates that Jesus is equal to God in power and authority.

Jesus’ authority comes from the Father: Jesus asserts that his authority to give life and judge people comes from the Father, who has entrusted him with this task.

Jesus Has the Power to Give Life: Jesus claims that he has the power to give life to whomever he wishes, just as the Father has the power to give life.

Jesus is the Judge of All People: Jesus asserts that the Father has given him the authority to judge all people, both the living and the dead.

Faith in Jesus leads to eternal life: Jesus promises that whoever hears his words and believes in him will have eternal life and will not be judged, but has already passed from death to life.

Jesus is the Son of God: Jesus identifies himself as the Son of God and claims that he can do nothing on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing.

Overall, this passage emphasizes Jesus’ equality with God, his power to give life and judge people, and the importance of faith in him for eternal life.

Short Story About the Power of the Son of God

John had always been a hardworking man, putting in long hours at his job to provide for his family. One day, he collapsed at work and was rushed to the hospital.

The doctors found that he had a severe heart condition and his chances for survival were very slim and therefore gave him little hope of healing.

John’s family and friends prayed for him every day, asking for a miracle. One night, John had a dream in which he saw a figure of light.

The figure spoke to him, saying, “I am Jesus, the son of God. Have faith in me, and you will be healed.”

When John woke up, he felt a warmth in his chest and a renewed sense of hope. He knew that he had to put his faith in Jesus, and he prayed for his healing.

The next day, the doctors were amazed to find that John’s condition had improved significantly, and he was on the road to recovery.

John told the unbelieving doctors that he was getting healed majorly because Jesus had healed him.

Over the following weeks, John continued to get better, and he knew that it was all thanks to his faith in Jesus.

He became a devout Christian, attending church regularly and spreading the message of hope to anyone who would listen.

The doctors also gave testimony that John was only being given Palliative care for they had given up on his treatment but miraculously he was healed by Jesus.

John’s brush with death had given him a new perspective on life, and he was grateful for the second chance that he had been given.

He knew that he had been saved by the power of Jesus, and he vowed to live the rest of his life in service to God.
