Blessed Andrew Abellon, also known as André, was a Roman Catholic priest and a member from the Order of Preachers. He was born in 1375 AD in Saint Maximin, Provence, France and died on May 15 1450 at the age of 75 in Aix-en-Provence, France. We celebrate his feast day on May 15 every year in the Catholic Church.

Blessed’s Biography
In his youth Blessed Andrew Abellon heard the sermon of St. Vincent Ferrer and joined the Dominicans in the monastery of St. Maximin.
He became a priest and prior of the Monastery of Saint Mary Magdalene in Provence, France. Andrew supported the missionaries and preachers in his day, especially known for his manuscript illuminations.
He died on 15 May 1450 at Aix-en-Provence, France of natural causes and was buried in the Church of the Magdalen. Andrew’s tomb was known as a place of miraculous healings
