Blessed’s Biography

Blessed Andrew was born in 1402 or 1404 in Italy. He came from a modest family. At 14, he became an Augustinians hermit in Montereale. He became the priest and for fifty years he preached the gospel in Italy and France. He was widely known for his holiness and doctrine.

In 1431 he studied theology in Rimini and then he continued to Padova and Ferrara, where he received the degrees of Associate Professor and Bachelor. In 1438 he got a degree of Master of Theology in Siena University.

Bl. Andrew of Montereale Death

He died on April 18, 1479, in Montereale. He was buried in the Augustine Church, where his earthly remains remain.
