Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Antony was a Dominican at age 15 and a priest at age 25. Pope Urban V appointed him inquisitor-general in 1360 to fight heresies in Lombardy and Genoa. He was one of the youngest to hold this complex and difficult job. Antony lasted for 14 years ministering to people. In 1368, he was elected prior in Savigliano, Italy where he built a new abbey without criticism of its luxury.

Antony was stabbed to death on April 9, 1374, coming out of the church where he had celebrated Mass.
