Bl. Benedict Metzler Biography
Blessed Benedict Metzler was educated in the Mönchsrot monastery in Memmingen, Germany. Educated by Premonstratensians. He made his solemn vows on April 17, 1717. Studied Canon at the Bad Schussenried monastery in Germany. Did his studies in theology at Dillingen, in Germany. Ordination was on January 6, 1721. Served as prior to his house as well as novice master, also a professor of theology and philosophy. From 1749 to 1755 he served as a parish priest in Eggmansried, Germany. Bl. Benedict was also a renowned writer of spiritual matters.
