Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Emmanuel d’Abreu was born in 1708 at Arouca, Portugal. He entered the Jesuit Order in 1724 and was sent to Goa in India in 1733. In 1734, he went to Macao. He was a priest arrested in March 1736, tortured and martyred for his work.
