Blessed’s Biography

Blessed Henry Heath was born in 1599 to a Protestant family. He became a minister and priest in the church of England. Bl. Henry Heath was part of the Order of Saint Francis with the name of Paul of Saint Magdalene. He also led a very strict life of penances, devoted to prayer and preaching.

On 7 April 1642, they arrested and tried to return him to give up his faith. Henry Heath remained firm in his choice and refused without hesitating to recant. Sentenced to death and the sentence barbarously executed, he was first hanged and then tortured at Tyburn in 1643.

Venerated

Bl. Henry Heath was venerated by Pope John Paul II on 10 November 1986.
