Biography
Blessed Ignatius Choe In-Cheol was a layman convert and martyr during the apostolic vicariate of Korea. He was the brother to blessed Matthias Choe In-Gil. One of eight Christians martyred in the lengthy persecution of Korea. Born sometime in the 18th century, in Seoul, South Korea. After conversion worked as a layman in the apostolic vicariate of Korea. Died on July 2, 1801, at the Small West Gate, Seoul, South Korea. Beatified by Pope Francis on August 15, 2014.
