Blessed’s Biography
In 1912, Blessed Jan Oprzadek joined the Franciscan Friars Minor in the Province of Saint Mary of the Angels. After the war, he returned to the monastery and made his solemn profession on October 4, 1924. Later, Oprzadek became a priest and did charitable work.
He was arrested on August 26, 1940 along with several other brothers during the Nazi persecution. Oprzadek was deported to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, then to Hartheim, where he was executed on 18 May 1942 in Austria.
