Bl. Jarich of Mariengaarde Biography
Blessed Jarich of Mariengaarde was a priest. A Premonstratensian monk, and a canon of the Mariegaarde monastery in Hallum, in the now Netherlands. A preacher, also a well-known poet and writer of biblical commentary. Became parish priest of Grijn, where he conducted a special ministry of teaching to children. On September 14, 1238, he was chosen as abbot of Mariegaarde.
