Blessed’s Biography

Blessed Joachim Piccolomini was born in Italy. He belonged to the Pelacani family, and some say he comes from the distinguished Piccolomini family. As a child, he had a strong devotion to the Virgin Mary. Joachim Piccolomini liked to help the poor by giving his own clothes and pocket money.

Joachim encouraged by his brothers to study and ordained a priest, but he felt unworthy, and he wanted to be an altar server.

Joachim died on April 16, 1306, in Siena, Italy of natural causes. He was 47 years old.
