Blessed’s Biography
Blessed John Lockwood was born around 1555 in Yorkshire, England. He was the firstborn of Christopher Lockwood. In 1595 John joined the English College in Rome and on 26 January 1597 he was ordained a priest.
Death
Both Blessed John Lockwood and Edward Catherick were martyrs under King Charles I (hanged, drawn, and quartered). He died on April 13, 1642.
