Saint’s Biography
Saint Martius of Auvergne was born in Auvergne between 440 and 445. In 460 he retired to the top of a mountain called Clermont and lived there as a hermit. In 470 he founded a monastery.
Death
He died in 530 and his remains were buried with honor in the monastery oratory where many miracles occurred. Memorial day April 13th.
