Biography
Blessed Rita Josefa Pujalte y Sánchez, Nun, an individual from the Sisters of Charity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, just like her sister Luisa. On the suggestion of the Order’s fonder, Rita was picked superior of the Sisters in 1900; she served in that situation for a long time. Begun schools for young ladies, particularly in the most unfortunate territories, and was know for her consideration for the wiped out, particularly individual Sisters.
Resigning to the St. Susanna religious community in Madrid, Spain, she worked the cloister’s school. In the oppressions of the Spanish Civil War, many fled, however Rita, 83 years of age and about visually impaired, remained to think about vagrants and those in emergency clinic. Snatched by an enemy of Christian progressives while she was in petition in house of prayer, she was removed from Madrid and executed. A martyr.
