Blessed’s Biography

Bl. Albertinus was born in the mid-13th in Italy. He was the Benedictine monk at Fonte Avellana monastery in Italy.

Albertino was elected general president of his congregation and succeeded brought peace between the bishop and the people of Gubbio. In 1288 he refused to accept the election as Bishop of Osimo, Italy and preferred to remain in his seclusion in the mountains.

Death

He died on April 13, 1294. His grave became a famous pilgrimage where miracles occurred. An altar was created in his honor.
