Biography
Blessed Ammon of Cyprus, christian who resigned to Cyprus to live as a hermit, dedicating himself to petition and an austere life committed to God. Tormented and martyred for his beliefs. decapitated in the twelfth century on Cyprus. Body dumped in the cavern where he had lived, and just rediscovered long a while later. Among 300 Christians who resigned to Cyprus to live as cavern hermits, dedicating themselves to supplication and a parsimonious life committed to God. Tormented and martyred for their faith, and their bodies dumped in the different caves which they had lived. We know the names of five of them, yet no more information about them.
