Blessed’s Biography

Blessed Edward Osbaldeston was the son of Thomas Osbaldeston. Edward studied at the English College in Douai, France. On 27 April 1589, Edward returned to England to minister to covert Catholics, had a great devotion to Saint Jerome. Edward betrayed by Thomas Clark, an apostate priest and arrested at an inn in Tollerton, Yorkshire on September 30, 1594. Edward Burden was tried for high treason by being a priest, quickly condemned.

On November 10, 1986, Edward was Venerated by Pope John Paul II.
