Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Frederick of Saint-Vanne was born in the 10th century in France. He was the son of Matilda. Frederick gave his wealth to the bishop of Verdun in 977 and made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. He later became a Benedictine monk at Saint Vanne abbey. Frederick was friends with Blessed Richard of Saint Vanne. Frederick was important to the monastery of Saint Vedast, Arras, France.
Death
He died on January 6, 1020, of natural causes.
