Renée Valin was born in Chaudefonds, Maine-et-Loire, France on 8 March 1760. She then started serving as a laywoman at the diocese of Angers, France before she met her death On 1 February 1794 when she was killed among other martyrs in the persecutions of the French Revolution in Avrillé, Maine-et-Loire, France.
