Saint Raynald of Nocera Biography
St. Raynald of Nocera was born to a noble family being the eldest son of the count of Postignano. He had a good education where his family expected him to venture in politics but he felt a call to a pious life.
He surrendered all his possessions and left the worldly things to live as a hermit on mount Serrasanta, Italy. Later, he became a Benedictine monk at Fonte-Avellana, Italy and was chosen the prior of his monstery.
He was the Bishop of Nocera, Italy as from 1209 AD to 1213 AD where he worked in the Roman Curia. He is recognized for his Charity to the poor.
