Bl. Denis of the Nativity was also known as Dionysius of the Nativity. He was a Mariner from age twelve.
Pilot-in-boss, cartographer, and cosmographer to the lord of Portugal, and to the French court. Still an individual from the regal court when he turned into a Discalced Carmelite in 1635 at Goa, India.
With Blessed Redemptorus of the Cross, he ventured out as a preacher to the ruler of Achin. He and his gathering were trapped and martyred by Muslims.
