Prayer Before Communion is a sacred moment of preparation and reverence, as believers anticipate receiving the body and blood of Christ.

It serves as a profound expression of gratitude, humility, and spiritual readiness.

This prayer invites the Holy Spirit to purify the heart, open the mind, and deepen the faith of the worshipper.

It sets the stage for a transformative encounter with the divine, acknowledging the privilege of partaking in the sacrament and seeking unity with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer Before Communion

Lord Jesus Christ, O Son of the living God, who, according to the Father’s will and in collaboration with the Holy Spirit, bestowed life upon the world through Your sacrificial death, I implore You to deliver me from all my sins and protect me from every evil, through the reception of Your Most Sacred Body and Blood.

May I constantly adhere to Your commandments and never be separated from You. May this communion, though I am unworthy, not bring judgment and condemnation upon me, but by Your abundant goodness, serve as a safeguard and a potent remedy for my soul and body.

Lord, I am unworthy to receive You within me, but a simple word from You will suffice to heal my soul. Amen.
