St Abban was a Hermit born in the 4th century AD in Ireland and died in 520 AD in England. We celebrate his feast day on May 13 every year in the Catholic Church.
Saint Abban was a recluse at Abingdon in England. He was known to be a preacher and also founded a monastery in Berkshire. He died in 520 AD of natural causes.
