Saint Abraham of Harran Biography
Saint Abraham of Harran was a Syrian hermit who was hoping to bring faith in a village at Mount Lebanon. He set up a shop as a fruit seller and the people were willing to buy his fruits but some abused him when he preached to them. He converted them by borrowing money to bail them out of prison and finally convincing them of the goodness of Christians.
He struggled to pay the debt, taught them for three years and found a priest to evangelise to them then returned to solitude. He was then chosen the Bishop of Harran in Mesopotamia.
