St Achilles of Larissa, also known as Achillius, Achillas or Achilius was the metropolitan bishop of Larissa in Thessaly, Greece. He was born in the 3rd century AD in Greece and died in 330 AD in Larissa, Thessaly. We celebrate his feast day on May 15 every year in the Catholic Church.

Saint’s Biography
Saint Achilles of Larissa was born into an imperial Roman patrician family, he received a good education, especially in philosophy.
After the death of his parents, he sold his entire fortune, gave the money to the poor and made a pilgrimage to the Holy Lands and then to Rome, Italy. Later Achilles became the bishop of Larissa in Greece. He fought against Arianism.
