Saint’s Biography
Saint Adjute of Morocco was a Franciscan Friar Minor. He and St. Francis of Assisi preached the Moors of the West. Together with his Colleague, they preached in Italy, Aragon, Coimbra, Seville, and Morocco, where they were banished and, upon their return, were martyred. He died on January 16, 1220, in Morocco. His remains were ransomed, and are now in the monastery of the Holy Cross in Coimbra, Portugal.
